Rained In, But Still Going!

I woke up to the sound of rain on the roof and thunder in then distance. No need to water plants! Definitely needed to reorganise my schedule, since there was little to no chance of garden work. First first things first, I had to get out of bed. Rain is like Kryptonite to me!

Anyway, I braved the weather t do my rounds and was pleased that non major damage had been sustained. Seems like the ground was rejoicing thanks to the refreshing showers. They were soaking in the rain! The terraces stood up pretty well also. The only semblance of surface water was in section 3, but this was due in part to underwater springing up at a usual spot.

With garden work off the plate, I decided to make the best of the day anyway. I spent most of the marketing and interacting with customers. Afterwards, too a chance to thin seedlings in the greenhouse. A raincoat would have come in handy.

At one point during the day, I toyed with the idea of taking a nap, but that didn’t pan out. About 5 minutes later I was checking the list to see what else I could do. I went to the garden briefly to tie some tomato plants to their supports, then to sow some seeds, and finally prepared for tomorrow’s day of harvest and delivery.

Looking back at the events that unfolded today, I am truly satisfied about what I was able to accomplish, despite the challenges presented by the weather. I felt liturgic at times, who can blame me? It was raining after all! However, I didn’t give in. Today, fled like a wonderful exercise to develop my mental fortitude. Should I give myself an A for effort?
